Top 100 de álbumes de rock cristiano de todos los tiempos

El portal HM Magazine, presentó un top 100 de los mejores discos de rock cristiano de todos los tiempos.

Para elaborar la lista se basaron en los siguiente criterios:

Que sean álbumes clásicos, es decir que estos discos superen la prueba del tiempo (que todavía suenen muy bien mucho tiempo después de su publicación).

Otro gran factor es el "impacto histórico" del álbum. por ejemplo el disco de Stryper To Hell With The Devil que se convirtió en multi-platino. También los pioneros como Larry Norman o Petra que llevaron la escena a otro nivel.

Por último, y posiblemente el factor más importante la popularidad. ¿vendieron más de un millón de copias? ¿Cuántas veces? ¿Multitudes acudieron a ver al artista en la gira de este álbum en particular?.

# 1 U2 / The Joshua Tree (Island / 1987)

Este álbum fue muy inspirador para el mundo. Fue un grito universal de la espiritualidad y el sentido común de los sentimientos humanos.

"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" ayudó a sacarme de mi locura religiosa. Fue un álbum perfecto en mi opinión. Lo que mas me llamó la atención de este CD fue que hubo una gran madurez en las composiciones. Dios bendiga a Bono y U2. " -Doug Pinnick (King's X).

#2 P.O.D. / Satellite (Atlantic / 2001)

Este disco salió el 11 de Septiembre de 2001 (el mismo día del atentado a las Torres Gemelas), con una canción que pronto se convirtió en un bálsamo curativo para toda una generación ("Alive").

#3 Stryper / To Hell With The Devil (Enigma / 1986)

Este álbum se convirtió multi-platino, demostrando lo que la música cristiana pesada podía hacer.

#4 The Choir / Chase the Kangaroo (Myrth / 1988)

Esta banda ayudó a definir lo grande podría ser el rock cristiano alternativo.
